We’re hiring for communications and project support roles!

🚨 Applications are now closed.

Refugee 613 started in 2015 as a small, scrappy organization dedicated to solving information problems facing refugees in Ottawa arriving from Syria and elsewhere.

Since then, we’ve consistently punched above our weight, thanks to a talented team dedicated to creating a more connected Canada for newcomers and a caring workplace environment to help make our dreams a reality.

After years of honing our expertise, we’ve evolved into Canada’s leader in migration communications, providing settlement information resources, strategic advice and training to organizations across the country. Earlier this spring, we became an independent non-profit, and this fall, we’ll celebrate 10 years of Refugee 613.

In response to increased funding and our growth as an organization, each of our projects is scaling up. We’re launching the second phase of recruiting talented people committed to improving equitable access to information for newcomers to join our team.

Most of the positions listed below are communications-related roles, along with three project support roles and one community engagement position. Each of them is vital to our operations – after all, communications and connections are what we do!

❗ Our goal is to make information as accessible as possible, so we’ve put together an FAQ document to help you with the application process. You’ll find the answers to questions like “What is the Refugee 613 workplace culture like?” and “How long is each project funded?”. Click here to read the FAQ.

If you have any questions after reading this document, please contact us at careers@refugee613.ca. We will add your questions and our answers to the FAQ to help others, so please check back for updates. Please note: our team is unable to offer coffee chats to applicants in advance. We created the FAQs to provide additional information without compromising transparency in the recruitment process.

📅 Application Deadline: July 2, 2025 | 5 pm EDT (all positions)

You’ll find a summary of the positions opening today in this blog, along with links to the downloadable job postings. Please share this webpage with your colleagues and friends and help us grow the Refugee 613 team with some talented new people!
